Dr. William Freije, M.D., Ph.D is double board certified in OB/GYN and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, with over 26 years of professional experience. He attended medical school at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. His residency in OB/GYN was completed at UCLA, followed by a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at Johns Hopkins University. He also continued his fellowship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.
Dr. Freije received his PhD in Human Genetics at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He has had extensive experience in both academic medicine as well as private practice.
His clinical interests include genetic disorders, pre-implantation genetic diagnosis, new genetic technologies, infertility, in vitro fertilization, hormonal disorders, and congenital anomalies of the genital tract. His research interests include metabolism, mitochondrial function, intra-uterine growth restriction, and circadian cycling.
He is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Freije has also been published in numerous medical journals including The American Journal of Human Genetics, the Journal of the Society for Gynecologic Investigation, Clinical Endocrinology and the Journal of Cell Biology.
