Meet Dr. David Harari, MD, President
Dr. David Harari, MD, brings 28 years of medical practice to Physician’s Surrogacy/RSMC. As a board certified OBGYN physician since 1986, he has treated many infertile couples over his career utilizing a myriad of surgical technologies including robotics and minimally invasive procedures for the treatment of endometriosis, fibroids, and other gynecologic conditions associated with the infertile couple. His medical background will be instrumental in helping couples achieve their fertility goals utilizing RSMC’s comprehensive and integrated services ranging from IVF to surrogacy.
Dr Harari completed his residency at Scripps Mercy Medical Center in San Diego and served on numerous hospital committees at both Mercy and Sharp hospitals. He was member of Sharp Mary Birch OBGYN Supervisory Committee and the Minimally Invasive Surgical Committee of Excellence. He is a member of American College of OBGYN and American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopy.
David is married with 2 children and enjoys sailing and running in his leisure time. He is a vital and charismatic leader of RSMC’s management team.
Meet Dr. Wood, MD, Ph.D.
Dr. Samuel Wood, MD, Ph.D., our Medical Director, is an acclaimed reproductive endocrinologist who specializes in infertility. He is particularly famous for successfully treating “hopeless cases.” Dr. Wood has turned many intended parents into happy parents.
As San Diego’s leading fertility specialist, he is a member of many societies including the Society of Reproductive Endocrinologists and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. He specializes in the assisted reproductive technologies (ART) and complex laparoscopic procedures.
In addition to obtaining an M.D. from the Medical College of Virginia (MCV), Dr. Wood also holds three other graduate degrees: a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics from MCV, an M.A. in Psychology from the University of Richmond and an M.B.A. from San Diego State University. Dr. Wood did his post-graduate medical training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of California at San Diego.
Meet Dr. Gaconnet, MD
Dr. Cory Gaconnet, MD, who was voted one of ‘San Diego’s Top Doctors’ in 2014, is an experienced clinician with an extensive background in healthcare management. His medical training combined with over 12 years of leadership experience within healthcare uniquely positions him to align all aspects of your fertility care into a common team of industry leading experts with one goal – to provide you the best quality fertility care available in the world. Starting with your initial consultation, Dr. Gaconnet and his incredible team at RSMC will become your partner as we help guide you through this journey. Dr. Gaconnet graduated from the United States Naval Academy with honors and then completed his medical degree at the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda. After earning his Doctorate of Medicine, he then transitioned to San Diego to complete his residency in Anesthesiology. During residency, Dr. Gaconnet was selected as Chief Resident and was awarded a Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology from Harvard Medical School at Boston Children’s Hospital. He is currently dual Board Certified in both Anesthesiology and Pediatric Anesthesiology.
Meet Dr. Adams, Ph.D.
Catharine Adams, Ph.D., our ART Laboratory and Scientific Director, holds a Ph.D. in Mammalian Embryology from one of the most prestigious universities in the world, University of Cambridge (UK), where she performed her research on blastocyst development. Since 1985, when she began her career in IVF, she has, among other distinctions, that of being the embryologist for the second successful frozen embryo transfer in the United States 15 years ago.
Dr. Adams is one of the first fully certified High Complexity Laboratory Directors (HCLD) in the U.S. Although very skilled technically, she is also well known in the infertility community for her ability and willingness to communicate complex embryologic concepts to patients.
