Becoming a surrogate is one of the most life-changing and powerful decisions you will ever make. Surrogate mothers give a priceless gift – their body – to help other people build their families, including same-sex couples, transgender individuals, as well as heterosexual couples dealing with infertility. Embarking on a surrogacy journey will also benefit you in a lot of ways.
You will start by filling out an online application to find out if you fulfill our basic requirements for gestational surrogates. Our surrogate intake team will then review your application, and if it is approved, you will complete our prescreening process to ensure a safe and successful surrogacy journey.
The matching phase will begin once you have completed the prescreening process. This is where you will be matched with the hopeful parents you wish to help.
After a successful match, you will move to the legal part of the surrogacy process. Both of you will sign a contract that details the roles and responsibilities of each party during the surrogacy journey.
The next step is to complete a thorough medical and psychological screening to check if you are fit to carry another person’s pregnancy. Once you’re cleared to move ahead, you will start taking medications to prepare your womb ahead of the embryo transfer.
2 weeks following the transfer, you will have a blood test to confirm if pregnancy has taken place. If yes, you will then carry the baby in your womb until delivery.
You will give the baby to the hopeful parents upon delivery, and your surrogacy journey will come to an end.
As a physician-owned and managed surrogacy agency, we know the importance of keeping both the surrogate and baby safe throughout the journey. Our team of highly experienced doctors will provide professional medical care and support you each step of the way.
